Why We're Building an Invoicing Tool Just for Exporters
Generic invoicing tools don't understand packing lists, LCs, or why a one-line mismatch holds up payment.
Most invoicing software is built for domestic services businesses: send an invoice, get paid, maybe track expenses. That model falls apart the moment you ship internationally.
An export shipment needs a proforma, a commercial invoice, a packing list, often credit or debit notes, and instructions that must agree with a letter of credit. The 'invoice' is one document in a set. If any two disagree, payment can stall.
We looked for a tool that treated the shipment as the source of truth and generated every document from it. We found either generic invoicing, heavy ERP modules, or compliance platforms that weren't what we needed.
So we're building Bilexor: a document and record-keeping tool for import/export SMEs. Not tax filing. Not customs clearance. Just paperwork that matches — entered once, kept consistent automatically.
